  • Where is your studio? How do I enter?
Our studio is at 162 North 1110 East Lindon, UT 84042. The studio is actually underground, under our backyard! It's a beautiful studio that students can enter by going up the driveway then down the cement staircase (on the south side of the single-garage building) to a doorway that opens up to our studio foyer.
  • How do I register for classes?
Go to the "Parent Portal & Registration" link on the menu along the top of our website. Create a portal account if you are a new user. Once within the portal you can add a student to your account and view the classes that are appropriate to that child's age level (classes will only be visible that your child is eligible for). Click on the classes you want to register for then press "Submit" to save. Then click the "Checkout" button to finish registration and pay the registration fee and first month's tuition.
  • What should my child wear to class?
For most classes we like students to wear leotards, biker (knit) shorts and/or leggings. Wear anything tight fitting that we can see your child's alignment so we can make corrections as needed. Hair in all classes should be out of the students' face so they can spot and execute technique and not be distracted while dancing. For Ballet girls will need a black leotard, pink tights and hair in a bun, and pink leather or canvas slippers. Students in the Pointe class will need pointe shoes fit to their foot. Hip Hop attire can be tight and/or a little baggie with lots of stretch. Never wear jeans to any dance class. Hip Hop dancers will need a pair of low-tread sneakers that are worn only in dance class. For Tap classes students will need black tap shoes. For Clogging students will need black clogging shoes. Jazz dancers need half-sole shoes or jazz shoes (barefeet are used at times). All street shoes should be worn into the foyer (don't wear dance shoes outside of the studio) and left in the shoe area; dance shoes only on the studio floor.
  • Can my 2 yr old take dance?
Some 2 year olds are mature enough for dance class. If your child can follow instructions and is interested enough to stay focused on the current activity the teacher is leading then dance would be a good fit. You can bring your child to a class and see how he/she does. Our teachers are happy to consult with you on your child's readiness. We often offer "Mom and Me" classes for 2 year olds and their Moms. If you're interested in this class please visit our online registration and register for the class waiting list. Upon sufficient demand we'll add the class to our schedule.
  • What payment options do I have?
You can select within the Parent Portal whether you'd like to pay via credit card (individual payments or automatic auto-pay), cash, check, or Paypal. If you would like to pay via cash or check please submit the payment directly to Christina or Jeff Lloyd.
  • When do I need to pay for tuition each month?
Tuition payments must be paid by the 7th of each month.
  • I'm not sure what my child's skill level is, can I have him/her assessed?"
We are happy to help you determine which class is appropriate for your child. Email Christina@cornerdance.com for an appointment for assessment. Or you can have your child attend a class that you believe will be at their level and their teacher can give you feedback about the skill level they observed during class.
  • Can my child take one of the classes that has a team name next to it (i.e. Ballet 8 (Soleil), Turns 6 (Etoile), etc.)?"
All Ballet, Clogging, Tumbling & Turns are open enrollment to all who qualify (age/skill). They have a team name next to them so that students that are on a team will know which classes they need to take, but they are open to all students on that skill level.
  • I'd like to put two of my kids in one class but one child's age is slightly different than the specified age range...

  • Can I request a time for a class that fits our schedule better?

  • How can my child join a performing team?
Auditions are typically held during the summer each year. Please reach out to Christina (Christina@cornerdance.com) for more information or if you have extenuating circumstances that do (or did) not allow our child to audition at the summer auditions. Audition dates will be posted on our website and Facebook page.
  • Can I rent your studio space?
